GolfLogix have done their product design homework with their software interface benefiting from the input of thousands of golfers interviewed. In 2007 the USGA and R&A both sanctioned the use of satellite-based yardage measuring devices during competition. GolfLogix GPS OperationThe GolfLogix GPS requires no set-up, automatically recognizing the course you are on. Once you’ve made the first tee box pertinent hazards and carry distances are provided by the GolfLogix GPS. The GolfLogix GPS-8 can hold up to 6 hazards per hole including; front + center + back of green, hazards, bunkers, water and lay-ups. The unit automatically advances to each new hole as a golfer advances around the golf course. Distances are constantly displayed to help with club selection. Last shot distances give the golfer instant feedback on their shot by shot performance. Additionally, the GolfLogix system maps a golfer’s round and can provide a post-game printout including club selection and the distance travelled and location of each shot. All athletes know that a key to performance improvement is feedback and this is exactly what the GolfLogix GPS provides. GPS CapabilitiesThe GolfLogix GPS is produced in partnership with Garmin with has lasted some 8 years. Although based on Garmin’s eTrex H handheld GPS navigator design the firmware is not exactly the same and it is not possible to just load the GolfLogix onto such a unit. The GPS-8 comes with a high-sensitivity, WAAS enabled GPS receiver capable of locks onto satellite signals quickly even in weak GPS signal reception areas such as thick foliage areas. The GolfLogix GPS inherits beneficial outdoor GPS design features from the eTrex outdoor handheld GPS navigator including shock resistance and an IPX7 waterproof rating. Take care around water hazards though as it doesn’t float. Golf Course Maps and SoftwareGolfLogix uses a variety of aerial and satellite imagery to map golf courses, including the pertinent hazards/carry points on every hole. Maps are updated once per year to capture course changes. There is a database of over 15,000 golf courses worldwide being added to on a continuous basis. The included GolfLogix Course Manager software includes a Request-A-Course feature providing golfers with their requested courses in 14 business days (often times much quicker, 3-5 days). There is an optional post-purchase annual fee for downloading an unlimited number of golf course maps. GolfLogix Golf GPS Features

I am trying to correct an error on your Skene valley course at whitehall,NY but can’t seem to find the site to do this. The correction is as follows: Hole 6 is NOT a dog leg. Hole 16 is a dog leg & starts 85 yds from the ghreen & ends about 70 yds from the green. Yours truly, W. Linker
