NAVIGON 7300T GPS Steps upmarket with Improved 3D Views, Traffic Updates and Conversational Voice Command

NAVIGON’S 7300T GPS is now the premium model of their 7000 series. Upgrades to the previous 7200T model include; the intelligent, learning MyRoutes application, improved 3D visualization, free (for life) live Traffic updates that are now spoken, more sophisticated voice control and the addition of Rand McNally Scenic Routes. Other notable premium features are Lane Assistant Pro, Bluetooth, clickable POIs, Zagat Ratings and Reviews and Exit Guide.

NAVIGON’S 7300T GPS

New Intelligent MyRoutes Feature

The new intelligent MyRoutes feature provides up to three route choices with distance and ETA calculated for all entered destinations. The unique part is that the NAVIGON 7300T continuously archives the driver’s individual driving data as a resource for calculating and recommending routes based on the user’s driving habits, the day of week and time of travel.

Both Panorama View 3D and Landmark View 3D in One PND

NAVIGON’s popular Panorama View 3D and Landmark View 3D features are in one device for the first time with the NAVIGON 7300T. Panorama shows surrounding landscapes using NASA terrain height data while Landmark View 3D shows 3D landmarks across the U.S. and Canada.

Spoken Traffic Updates

Any feature which lets the driver keep their visual attention on the road provides a safety benefit. As well as posting traffic updates to the map navigation interface, the NAVIGON 7300T now announces traffic updates. Worth noting again is that NAVIGON offers spoken real-time traffic updates for free for the life of the device.

New Voice Address Entry and Control Feature

Voice recognition is a very high end feature for personal navigation devices (PND) and the NAVIGON can boast of the NAVIGON 7300T’s impressive new Voice Address Entry and Control feature. It makes inputting addresses simpler and allows users hands-free control using voice commands. NAVIGONs new voice recognition engine is a sophisticated one powered by software from Nuance and capable of understanding conversational instructions rather than precise command phrases only (which have to be learned!). Our recent GPS Speech Recognition guide covers current speech recognition systems.

Rand McNally Scenic Routes

For the first time NAVIGON had added as a bonus Rand McNally Scenic Routes content. Included are over 250 routes such as Weekend Getaways, Scenic Tours and Regional Trips for the U.S. and Canada.
