Despite integrating Bluetooth, Bluetooth low energy, Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n), FM receive and transmit and GPS the CSR9000 still beats less endowed competitors coming in at a tiny 60mm2 module size. For consumers, this furthering of technology integration will mean that far more handsets and portable devices will come with a wider range of connectivity and positioning technologies integrated as standard. CSR has already demonstrated the technology on Android and other mobile platforms at the recent Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. It is already sampling the CSR9000 to key customers so, hopefully we will see some exciting consumer product releases in the near future.
