Magellan RoadMate 3045, 3045-UM and 3045-LM 4.7 Inch Widescreen Portable GPS Navigators Review


The Magellan RoadMate 3045 is one of Magellan’s 3000 portable GPS navigator series. It has a wide range of features headed by a large 4.7 inch touch screen display which is 17 percent larger than the more common 4.3 inch screen. Auto Night View ensures the best color and contrast for easy night viewing. Other key features include; a traffic receiver, highway lane assist, highway exit POI, text-to-speech, multi-destination routing and the built-in AAA TourBook.


Magellan RoadMate 3045 GPS Navigator

Matches the specification of the RoadMate 3065 Commuter apart from the lack of ; Bluetooth, Traffic Wake-up and Periodic Reporting. The difference between 3045 and the other two model variations are as detailed below.

  • 3045-MU Add One free map update during the life of the GPS navigator
  • 3045-LM Add Free lifetime map updates for the life of the GPS navigator
