The Garmin Montana 600 Hiking GPS is an impressive new product thanks to its versatility and premium features. Garmin have imbued it with some of the leading edge technologies available in mobile phones and media tablets. The Garmin Montana 600 is perfectly capable of being used for outdoors, on the water and road navigation. A key feature is the large, dual orientation 4 inch, color touchscreen which is sunlight-readable and has the high resolution to make TOPO and other detailed maps look good. Being able to switch from portrait to landscape mode makes the Montana much more usable for turn-by-turn car navigation. Ruggedized and waterproof, the Montana will take all the knocks and environmental exposure it will have to endure.
